Sophie Spieler

Sophie Spieler completed her elementary studies at Ernst Moritz Arndt University Greifswald and transferred to TU Dresden in 2008. Having spent a year as a Fulbright scholar in the American studies program of Fairfield University (Connecticut), she is currently in the middle of her Staatsexamen. Upon completion of her studies, she would like to pursue a PhD in English. Spieler’s academic interests lie in literary theory, identity formation, feminism, and American television. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, reading obscure seventeenth-century poetry, and rewatching Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer religiously.
