Laura Gerlach

After a lifelong (tumultuous) love affair with American Popular culture, Laura was delighted to encounter the field of American studies during her undergrad studies at the University of Leipzig. Now enrolled in American Studies Leipzig's MA program, she intends to continue said affair by, broadly speaking, examining the construction of narratives through Popular culture in the light of intersectional feminist theory. In her spare time, she reads up on the American midwest's music scene, listens to loud guitars in small clubs, watches horror movies, and rescues animals. Further, Laura likes Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
